Skating by day, coding by night: Engineering student Anandkumar's road to glory

He came in chasing a podium. He left as a world champion. Anandkumar Velkumar, a 22-year-old speed skater from Chennai, did what very few Indian athletes have even dared to dream of. At the World Speed Skating Championships in Beidaihe, China,   he zipped past the competition to take gold  and also become India’s first-ever world champion in inline speed skating.
